Freaking Awesome Place!!!We happened upon this restaurant coming back from a day at the Louisbourg Fortress. Starving and not sure where to eat we Googled Lobster Pound and Moore. Rich, the chef, and his wife who manages the service, were charming, efficient, friendly and welcoming. We got the last table available and lucky us. Our food was perfecto, the service was outstanding. We're staying in Baddeck and already trying to figure out how to come back tomorrow. See photos of the Lobster Mac n cheese and crispy bacon maple fried chicken. A bonus photo is of Chef Rich showing me a real Lobster shell from 1960, a Russian trawler caught it and he salvaged, painted and mounted it.

We first visited lobster pound and Moore in their old location, on our trip to Nova Scotia last year (we are from Vancouver, BC). The food and service was fantastic, so when we decided to visit the Atlantic coast for the fall colors, we made sure to make another reservation!I really enjoyed the scallops - they were cooked perfectly and the citrus based sauce really complemented, and my partner's steak was Smokey and flavorful (he says this is the most delicious steak he has ever had). We shared the honey lemon cheese cake, it was a delightful balance of sweet honey and the slight saltiness of the cheese cake.Be aware this is a busy place so reservations are a must, especially before October. Also, this is not a family restaurant, so don't bring kids under 12 and expect to be accommodated. We have really enjoyed both our visits, and will continue to return anytime we are in Nova Scotia!

Lovely little place, they got us in without a reservation (even if the sign says full, try your luck! ) food was incredible and the people working were so sweet. 10/10

***Open seasonally***Awesome food every time we visit. The chef is very nice and amazing with fish , salads, chowder, fries, shellfish, and rice.***Reservations are required, about 3 months in advance; as this is a very small restaurant & is normally filled to capacity***Located next to Marine Atlantic in North Sydney, Canada.*** Exit the back of the terminal ( bring ID & boarding pass wirh you), turn left out the doors & continue left down the street. About 3 minutes from the terminal in the shadow of a very large gray building located on the waterfront.

Highly recommend, food and service was excellent. Only open limited times Wednesday to Sunday 5 to 7 pm. Saturdays 12 to 7 pm. We both had the half Lobster special. Shared a strawberry lemon cheesecake for dessert. Strongly suggest making a reservation, we arrived at 6pm and were fortunate that they were able to seat us even though they were fully booked, thankfully someone finished early and didn't linger.

Amazing experienced. We loved every part of our time at the Lobster Pound. Server and Chef made us feel right at home, very friendly and helpful.Food amazing! Lobster roll was so good, lobster was on point! We devoured our desert, with fresh strawberries and cream. Now on our way to Newfoundland :)Heads up.. you must reserve before going!

Just got home from one of the best dining experiences we have had in a very long time! Not only was the food exceptional, but the service was second to none! We are not in the North Sydney area often, but we now will be because of your amazing restaurant! Thank you for a wonderful evening!

I love the decor, very on point for this restaurant. The service was great, from the moment we stepped in to the time we left. But the food.... It's just incredible. It was only my second time here, but it's a real treat. I know it's a seafood place by name, but those Thai (I think?) wings are my favourite and the lobster club was humongous and well enjoyed. I was very full but had plenty of leftovers to take home, and even that was made up all fancy.
